Good to Know

What Affects Your Final Cost

Moving is billed hourly because every move is unique. These are the variables that affect how long — and therefore how much — your move takes.

Crew size

More movers = faster move. We'll recommend the right crew for your home size.

Move volume

Number of rooms, furniture pieces, and storage units directly affects time.

Access & stairs

Elevator waits, stairs above the 1st flight, or long carries add time.

Packing

If we pack for you, expect 1–3 extra hours depending on the home.

Day & season

Weekend and summer dates fill quickly; mid-week moves tend to have more flexibility.

Distance

Local moves are billed hourly door-to-door. Long-distance moves are quoted flat-rate.

Pricing Questions

Still have questions? Give us a call and we're happy to walk through it.

How is my total cost calculated?
Local moves are billed hourly from the moment our crew arrives at your pickup address until the last item is placed at your destination. The minimum hours apply even if the move finishes early — this covers crew time and equipment.
Are there any fees beyond the hourly rate?
Not by default. Your crew rate includes the truck, blankets, dollies, and all standard equipment. Optional services like packing or materials are always discussed and itemized in advance — never sprung on you at the end.
Does the clock start before you arrive at my home?
No. The clock starts when our crew is at your front door and ready to work — not from our base or while driving to you. We don't charge for our travel time to your location.
When and how do I pay?
Payment is collected at the end of the move, once you're satisfied with the job. We accept cash and all major credit and debit cards. No large deposit required to reserve your date.
Do rates change on weekends or during peak summer months?
Our hourly rates are consistent year-round. What changes is availability — peak dates book up fast. We recommend requesting a quote at least 2 weeks ahead for Saturday summer moves.
Is gratuity included in the rates?
Tips are always optional and never factored into our pricing. If your crew did a great job, a common guideline is $20–$40 per mover for a half-day move — but you'll never be asked or expected to tip.
